The Hues of June

June 7, 2024 Shelley Hall

Fashion in Seattle in June is a delightful blend of practicality and unpredictability, much like trying to predict the weather. I know I keep talking about this, but we want you to find what you need at Meadow Boutique according to the ways that June plays out. Picture this: you step out in the morning wrapped in layers, armed with a raincoat and waterproof boots, because the forecast promised rain. By noon, the sun decides to make a grand appearance, turning your layered look into an impromptu sauna. Now you’re juggling your raincoat, wishing you'd worn shorts, and realizing that Seattle fashion isn't just about looking good—it's a test of your adaptability and sense of humor.

In Seattle, the quintessential fashion statement might just be the "I-carry-an-umbrella-but-never-need-it" look. And let's not forget the iconic flannel shirt. It's the Swiss Army knife of Seattle fashion—suitable for a coffee run, a hike, or an impromptu grunge concert revival in your living room. You might even spot someone pairing socks with sandals or in my day Birkenstocks, a fashion faux pas elsewhere but practically a badge of honor in this city. After all, in Seattle, staying comfortable and dry is the ultimate style goal, and if you can do it with a bit of quirky flair, even better!

Shopping at Meadow Boutique in Queen Anne, is an experience that combines the charm of a neighborhood boutique with the thrill of a fashion adventure. As you walk in, you're greeted by a cozy, stylish atmosphere that makes you feel like you've stumbled into the wardrobe of your most fashionable friend. The racks are filled with carefully curated pieces that range from trendy must-haves to timeless classics, making it the perfect place to find that unique item that speaks to your personal style. Shelley knows this so well and that is what sets Meadow Boutique apart from any other boutique you may encounter.

Our staff at Meadow Boutique are like fashion fairy godmothers, ready to offer their expert advice and help you put together an outfit that makes you feel like the best version of yourself. And don’t be surprised if you find yourself bonding over a shared love of flannel shirts or discussing the best coffee spots in Seattle while you shop.

Plus, the boutique’s location in Queen Anne means you can enjoy a day out in one of Seattle's most picturesque neighborhoods, with plenty of cafes and parks to explore after your shopping spree. So whether you're hunting for the perfect date night dress or a cozy sweater for those unpredictable Seattle days, Meadow Boutique offers a delightful shopping experience that's as unique and welcoming as the city itself. Maybe we are a little biased, but we stand behind the years we have been in business to serve you.

In Tune With June

May 31, 2024 Shelley Hall

OMG - tomorrow it’s June. Half the year is behind us now. So you are probably are wondering about our time at the Wink Hair Studio. It’s been over a year since the fire on January 22, 2023 at the building that housed Meadow Boutique. It was perfect for us. It was perfect for you. And it will be perfect again when it is completed.

There isn't a day that goes by without us feeling grateful for our space we have at this time, even if it’s smaller than the spacious one we loved. We know we'll return there once it's remodeled to perfection. But guess what? We're still rocking it here at the Wink Hair Studio. The only difference since our move is the size. Shelley continues to fill the place with amazing fashion, specially curated for her customers. You'll always find the brands you know and love, along with exciting new ones that grace our doorstep. Shelley has a knack for discovering fresh and thrilling items to feature at Meadow Boutique. We couldn't be prouder to still be here, and it's all because of you.

So are you In Tune with June?

June in Seattle is like a fashion obstacle course where you never know if you'll face sun, rain, or an unexpected gust of wind that turns your umbrella into a makeshift kite. Navigating this month requires a sense of humor and a closet that looks like it belongs to a weather-forecasting wizard.

First off, the key to surviving June in Seattle is layering like you’re preparing for a hike up Mount Rainier, even if you’re just going to grab coffee. Picture this: you start your day with a cozy sweater, a trendy raincoat, and perhaps even a scarf. By lunchtime, you're shedding layers faster than a dog blows its winter coat, revealing a stylish t-shirt that, naturally, features something iconic like a moose or a coffee cup. Speaking of coffee, you'll need it – not just to wake up but as a handy prop to keep your hands warm. Seattleites have mastered the art of cradling a steaming cup while expertly navigating the streets, dodging puddles with the agility of a caffeinated ninja. The weather may be unpredictable, but your need for caffeine is a constant.

Footwear is a whole adventure in itself. You need something that says, "I'm ready for a board meeting," but also, "I can jump over a puddle in a single bound." Enter the stylish yet practical rain boots, which have become the unofficial footwear of June. Bonus points if they’re adorned with playful patterns – nothing says "I’m embracing the rain" like polka dots or ducks on your boots.

Umbrellas, while seemingly a good idea, are more of a last-resort item. In June, they are more likely to turn into inverted parachutes. Instead, invest in a good waterproof jacket with a hood. This way, you can laugh in the face of rain while keeping both hands free for your essential coffee cup. Beanies aren’t just for winter – they’re for any day your hair decides to mimic the frizz level of a 1980s rock band. Sunglasses are a must, not just for those rare sunny moments but for the times when the clouds part, and the sun blinds you like it’s making up for lost time.

Navigating June in Seattle requires a mindset as flexible as your wardrobe. Embrace the unpredictability with a sense of humor. When it rains, it's just Mother Nature reminding you to appreciate the cozy indoors. When the sun shines, it’s a cue to head outside and bask in the brief but glorious warmth. June in Seattle is a delightful dance of layering, accessorizing, and laughing at the whims of the weather. Embrace it with a smile, a stylish raincoat, and a coffee cup permanently attached to your hand, and you'll fit right in.

What’s new for June at Meadow Boutique:

Meadow’s Memorial Weekend

May 24, 2024 Shelley Hall

It’s Memorial Day weekend, and Seattle is brimming with exciting activities that cater to all interests. This is the perfect opportunity to get out and about, showing off those new outfits you’ve been saving. Don't let concerns about current events hold you back—embrace the beauty and vibrancy that Seattle has to offer. Here are some fun options to consider for an unforgettable weekend:

1. Explore the iconic Pike Place Market - Immerse yourself in the bustling energy of Pike Place Market, a Seattle landmark renowned for its vibrant atmosphere, diverse array of local vendors and fresh produce.

2. Attend the Northwest Folklife Festival  - The four-day cultural festival features a plethora of artists playing on over 20 different stages throughout the venue, along with hundreds of vendors set up across the lawn.

3. Catch a Seattle Mariners baseball game at T-Mobile Park  - On Memorial Day, the Seattle Mariners host the Houston Astros at 6:40 p.m. At the time of writing, plenty of seats are still available, starting at $15.

4. Explore the beach at low tide with a naturalist - The Seattle Aquarium Beach Naturalist Program kicks off on Memorial Day weekend across multiple locations. Join a beach naturalist at one of the participating beaches and discover Puget Sound’s multitude of marine plants and animals.

5. Enjoy free rowboat rentals at the Center for Wooden Boats - Want to get out on the lake over the three-day weekend? Swing by the Center for Wooden Boats on South Lake Union to enjoy a free one-hour rental in one of their peapod rowboats.

9. Ride the rails at the Northwest Railway Museum - Travel in historic railroad coaches through the Upper Snoqualmie Valley along 5.5 miles of the original 1880s Seattle Lake Shore and Eastern Railway.

10. Take advantage of Bicycle Weekends on Lake Washington Boulevard - Once again, Seattle Parks and Recreation will be closing a section of Lake Washington Boulevard to motorized vehicles on scheduled weekends from May to September.

Memorial Weekend in Seattle is like watching a sitcom where the weather is the quirky main character. One minute, it's sunny and everyone’s out barbecuing like they've never seen a grill before, and the next, a raincloud rolls in like an uninvited guest who didn't get the memo about the outdoor party. Umbrellas pop up faster than a flash mob, and everyone huddles under them, pretending they’re enjoying a spontaneous rain shower. The brave few who venture to the beach are a sight: bundled in hoodies and flip-flops, roasting marshmallows over a soggy fire, and swatting away raindrops like they're the mosquitos of the Pacific Northwest. Yet, in true Seattle fashion, the caffeine-fueled optimism never fades, because who needs perfect weather when you have coffee, quirky rain jackets, and the hope that maybe, just maybe, the sun will make a guest appearance before the weekend’s over?

So what about Meadow Boutique’s new arrivals this week. Let’s take a look!

There’s lots of DOUBLE ZERO in the mix this week. DOUBLE ZERO is truly on of our best lines for tanks and tees. STACCATO is right in there too with stylish tees and tops. DOE & RAE in with some cute pants and tanks as well. It’s a tank kind of week. Perfect for layering! our denim this week is VERVET and SNEEK PEAK. CHRIS & CAROL with a striped pant, NAKED ZEBRA with a tencel pant and LOVE TREE with some lightweight joggers. If you want to have a athletic look, try the GIO GIO athletic maxi skirt, so trendy, especially paired with the gold sandals. We have some perfect pairings this week if I do say so myself. Don’t forget about accessorizing with our colorful JEN & CO. bags. They are so versatile and I know some of you have many colors. Very wise choice! We have some cute slides that will add to any outfit or just for kicking around. If you are looking to add some color, MAIN STRIP has a floral windbreaker that’s perfect for the weather we are having now. You have so many choices, so no excuses about you have nothing to wear this weekend.

You know how to layer up—it's practically our middle name in Seattle! We've got lots of fashion that’ll make you look fabulous, rain or shine. We're counting on you to make this weekend fun and full of laughter, reminding everyone that summer is right around the corner. XOXOXO!

Before we dive into this week's blog, we're thrilled to introduce you to the newest addition to our Meadow Boutique family! You've likely already encountered her warm presence and infectious smile. Meet Kari, a delightful soul originally from the scenic shores of Oahu, Hawaii. Two years ago, she and her husband, alongside their two grown children, made the enchanting Pacific Northwest their home.

In her leisure moments, Kari finds solace in the serenity of hiking trails, the excitement of exploring new destinations, and the cozy art of crocheting. But her passions don't stop there – she's a true advocate for healthy living, concocting and fine-tuning nutritious recipes, which she eagerly shares with loved ones. Make sure to drop by and extend a warm welcome to Kari. Whether you're seeking style advice or simply a friendly chat, she's here to assist you with her signature charm and genuine enthusiasm. Let's embrace her radiant spirit together!

As the calendar flips faster than we can keep up, May emerges like a burst of energy, signaling the imminent arrival of summer in Seattle. Every year, it's the same exhilarating whirlwind, isn't it? The anticipation builds with each passing day, stirring up a delightful frenzy of plans and possibilities. In the heart of the rainy city, where gray skies often dominate, the promise of warm weather and sunshine is like a beacon of hope. It's as if the entire city comes alive, buzzing with excitement and the sweet scent of adventure.

For kids, the countdown to the end of the school year is like waiting for a grand finale, filled with dreams of endless days filled with freedom and fun. And for moms, it's a mix of eager anticipation and a touch of nostalgia as they prepare for the chaos and joy of having their little ones back at home. From spontaneous playdates to meticulously planned vacations, the air is alive with the thrill of endless possibilities. It's a time when every corner of Seattle becomes a stage for unforgettable experiences, a playground waiting to be explored. So, let the games begin, for in this bustling city, summer isn't just a season—it's a celebration of life itself! So let’s get ready for it!

Delving into my wardrobe, I relish in the delicate dance of addition and subtraction, eagerly anticipating the perfect ensemble for each day. I find solace in the allure of new attire, akin to the blossoming flowers of spring. Though it may sound cliché, the effect is undeniable; as I stroll down the streets of Seattle, heads turn in admiration. Clad in garments sourced from Meadow Boutique, exclusivity is assured. With Shelley's discerning eye limiting each selection to a mere six pieces, the odds of encountering a duplicate are slim. In a city known for its laid-back demeanor, Meadow stands as a symbol of style. Here, amidst its unique offerings, lies a treasure trove of sophistication and charm, waiting to be explored. So, as the season beckons for a wardrobe refresh, let Meadow be your destination for style and distinction, where every piece tells a story of individuality and grace.

What’s new this week at Meadow Boutique that you might want to add to your closet?

This week, NAKED ZEBRA stands out with their exceptional tanks and pants, alongside the beloved, ultra-soft tanks from DOUBLE ZERO. Established in 2009 in the heart of Los Angeles' Fashion District, NAKED ZEBRA embraces individuality and authenticity, celebrating women's confidence and uniqueness through their stylish and playful designs and colors. BLU PEPPER is also making an appearance this week with some chic tops and a summery dress perfect for the upcoming warm weather. GIGIO brings trendy green pants with convenient front pockets, ideal for stashing your cell phone. MIRA BELLE offers denim shorts adorned with delicate flowers, sure to catch everyone's eye. We're stocking shorts early this year, so grab them while supplies last. MAIN STRIP and JODIFL present cute dresses to brighten this colorful season, and LETO adds its unique style with a crop tank. There's so much to choose from, so remember our motto: if you see it and love it, don't wait to buy it. You might miss out, and you'll regret not getting it when you had the chance.

While the weather may not yet be at its peak, can you imagine if it were? We'd be hard-pressed to stay focused, wouldn't we? Yet, there's a silver lining—the days are stretching longer, inviting us to seize every precious moment. In the height of summer, Seattle transforms into a realm of perpetual twilight, with daylight lingering until the late hours, a testament to the city's enchanting allure. To bask in the glow of daylight close to 9:30 PM is a luxury reserved for the fortunate residents of the Northwest. Indeed, we are privileged to call Seattle home—a place where the weather is mild, the coffee unparalleled, and the landscape simply breathtaking. As the months unfurl towards summer, let us eagerly anticipate the delights that await us in this wondrous city.

Amidst the ebb and flow of city life, we all harbor our sentiments about the ever-changing landscape. Challenges like homelessness and rising crime rates, coupled with our occasional disillusionment with the political realm, can weigh heavy on our hearts. Yet, amidst the tumult, there's solace in our solidarity, in the bonds that tether us together. Together, we navigate the highs and lows, engaging in dialogue, fostering community, and, in lighter moments, indulging in the joys of shared retail therapy. Step into Meadow Boutique, where the stresses of life melt away amidst racks of carefully hand-picked treasures. While perfection may elude us in the grand tapestry of existence, we strive to create a haven of beauty and grace, just for you.

To our cherished patrons, we extend our deepest gratitude for your unwavering support and authenticity. Your presence sustains us through the storms, fueling our optimism for the brighter days that lie ahead. Meadow Is For Moms

May 10, 2024 Shelley Hall

I am a Mom. You are a Mom. Or, you have a Mom, that is for sure. Moms can come in many forms, including biological mothers, adoptive mothers, stepmothers, foster mothers, and other caregivers who take on a maternal role in a child's life. We are often celebrated for our sacrifices, dedication, and unconditional love for our children. As Moms, we play a crucial role in nurturing and raising our children, providing love, support, guidance, and often taking on various responsibilities within our family.

We tend to downplay our role as mothers, often attributing our efforts to simple acts of love or duty rather than seeking recognition or praise. We might not boast about our accomplishments or sacrifices, preferring instead to focus on the well-being and happiness of our children. As Moms, we often prioritize our family's needs above our own and may deflect compliments about our parenting, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to care for and nurture our children. We may see Motherhood as a natural part of life rather than something extraordinary, and our humility shines through in our everyday actions and interactions with our family.

Absolutely, being a Mom is indeed a significant and often selfless role. Mothers play a crucial part in shaping our lives, providing love, guidance, and support from the moment we are born. Whether or not we become parents ourselves, we all have a Mom who have made countless sacrifices and invested endless time and energy in nurturing us and helping us grow. The unconditional love and care that Moms provide are unparalleled, and their influence extends far beyond just the early years of childhood. They serve as lifelong sources of wisdom, comfort, and encouragement, always there to offer a listening ear or a comforting embrace.

May Fashion In Seattle

May 4, 2024 Shelley Hall

In last week's blog post, we found ourselves eagerly awaiting the arrival of May, and now that it's finally upon us, the anticipation has given way to an abundance of excitement. Have you been reveling in the delights of the season's emergence as much as we have? There's an undeniable sense of wonder that accompanies the sight of Seattle bursting into bloom, as nature awakens from its winter slumber and blankets the city in vibrant hues.

But amidst the beauty of Springtime, let's take a moment to pivot our focus to another aspect of Seattle's allure—the ever-evolving world of fashion. Seattleites possess a distinct flair for style, an artful fusion of individual expression and collective creativity that sets our city apart. From the streets of Capitol Hill to the shores of Alki Beach, one can't help but be captivated by the eclectic array of fashion statements that grace our neighborhoods.

What makes Seattle's fashion scene truly special is its embrace of diversity and inclusivity. Here, you'll find a melting pot of sartorial influences—from the laid-back vibes of the Pacific Northwest to the cutting-edge trends of urban chic. Our city's fashionistas aren't afraid to push boundaries, mixing and matching pieces with fearless abandon to create looks that are as bold and vibrant as the skyline itself.

May fashion in Seattle tends to reflect the transition from Spring to Summer. The weather starts to get warmer, with occasional showers, so you'll often see a mix of layered outfits with pieces that can be easily added or removed as the temperature fluctuates.

As Seattleites, we tend to embrace a casual and practical sense of style, influenced by the city's laid-back vibe and outdoor lifestyle. You'll often see people wearing jeans, comfortable shoes like sneakers or sandals, and light jackets or sweaters for layering. Footwear is also key in Seattle fashion, with many opting for comfortable shoes like sneakers or sandals that can withstand both city streets and outdoor adventures. And of course, a reliable jacket or light sweater is always on hand for those occasional chilly evenings or unexpected rain showers. I think you’ll find that Meadow has you covered in most areas of that Seattle style we all know and love.

As for colors and patterns, you might notice a lot of earthy tones, as well as bright pops of color to reflect the blossoming spring scenery. Floral prints and lightweight fabrics like cotton and linen are also popular choices for this time of year. Overall, May fashion in Seattle is all about staying comfortable, stylish, and adaptable to the unpredictable Spring weather while incorporating elements of the natural beauty surrounding the city. We are so lucky to live in such a beautiful place like Seattle!

So what are our new arrivals this week at Meadow Boutique? Some of our favorite brands that keep gracing our racks like CHRIS & CAROL, LOVE TREE, DOE & RAE, SNEAK PEAK, ORAIJE, and JEN & CO. There’s flowy pants, jeans, soft tees, joggers, linen blend pants, shorts, a windbreaker, bralettes, earrings, handbags and the list goes on. Step right in and experience it firsthand! With Mother’s Day just around the corner (wink, wink), there's an abundance of pieces echoing the essence of May and the chic vibes of Seattle. But let me tell you, the photos below barely scratch the surface of what awaits your senses. That’s precisely why we urge you to drop by and immerse yourself in the real deal. Besides, what beats a good old-fashioned catch-up and chat, face-to-face? We thrive on those personal connections, especially in today’s tech-driven world. Meadow still cherishes that classic customer service and human connection, and we can’t wait to share it with you!

Meadow In May

April 26, 2024 Shelley Hall

Yes, it’s almost May. April showers bring May flowers. Isn’t that the way it goes in Seattle? Looks like rain is leading the way to May this week. We have enough rain to flower half the country. As Seattle transitions from its rainy to sunny months, the city undergoes a remarkable transformation. The once-gray skies give way to brilliant sunshine, casting a warm glow over the cityscape. As if awakening from a slumber, parks and outdoor spaces come alive with vibrant colors as flowers bloom and trees flourish. The Puget Sound glistens under the sun's rays, inviting residents and visitors alike to enjoy its sparkling waters. Sidewalk cafes bustle with activity as people relish in the newfound warmth, savoring every moment of outdoor dining and leisurely strolls. The city's mood shifts from cozy and introspective to lively and exuberant, reflecting the joy that accompanies the arrival of Spring and Summer in the Pacific Northwest.

Which brings me to YOU. Yes, you heard me right. YOU! What do you have planned when the weather starts changing? In May, we eagerly embrace the arrival of Spring and the promise of warmer weather. Our city comes alive with blossoms and greenery and outdoor activities becoming increasingly popular. We love to take advantage of the mild temperatures by exploring Seattle's numerous parks and gardens, such as the iconic Discovery Park, the serene Washington Park Arboretum, or the bustling Volunteer Park. May also marks the beginning of festival season in Seattle, with events like the University District StreetFair and the Northwest Folklife Festival drawing crowds to celebrate art, music, and culture. Additionally, outdoor markets like the famous Pike Place Market offer fresh produce and local crafts for your potential out of town visitors to enjoy. Sports enthusiasts can catch a baseball game at T-Mobile Park, home of the Seattle Mariners, or participate in outdoor recreational activities like hiking, biking, and kayaking in the surrounding natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Overall, in May, Seattle offers a myriad of opportunities for us to embrace the outdoors and celebrate the vibrant spirit of our city.

With the weather shifting, it's time for a wardrobe overhaul, and trust me, I make the most of it! April is my birthday month, and I seize the opportunity to treat myself to a fresh array of clothes, bidding farewell to the old ones with a closet clean-out-turned-donation spree. Now, I've always been drawn to the classic hues of black, grey, and beige, but this year, I've thrown caution to the wind and embraced the rainbow. Meadow is my canvas, and I'm painting it with vibrant hues - pinks, blues, yellows, greens. Sure, not every shade suits me, but experimenting is half the fun! Throw on a bold new top, add some statement earrings for extra flair, and pair it all with your favorite jeans. Let the world see your style evolution. Trust me, they'll be wondering why they aren't taking fashion risks like you. It's a game-changer, guaranteed!

OK, so what is new for you to try this week at Meadow Boutique?

Well, have a look at the two tanks by LETO. Daisies? WOW, gotta love that look. Daisy is the flower for April and I have ideas already of what I could wear under or over them until it gets warmer. They are a great layering pieces. ROSA with some lively jumpers that have buttons and straps, with a floral top that would look stunning with the blue one, if I may say so myself! Out with April -in with May! And then there is good old LOVE TREE that never lets us down with their fashion forward trends. Now we have some joggers again. They have never lost their luster since they were a staple during COVID. This week jeans are by LOVERVET by VERVET and ORAIJE. Wide, faded and soft. Add K. CARROLL and JEN & CO bags and well, a scrunchie, some earrings and you are well into May attire. Then there is DOUBLE ZERO and GIO GIO tops too. Everyone in our opinion needs a wrap dress. Owning a HAILEY & CO wrap dress is a wardrobe staple for women, offering a timeless silhouette that flatters a variety of body shapes. Its adjustable fit, emphasis on the waist, and versatile styling make it an essential piece for effortlessly chic and flattering looks for any occasion. It looks like we have you covered for May, don’t you think? And then there is Mother’s Day right around the corner, well never mind, we’ll talk about that next week! Just putting the bug in your ear.

One final note - we know it is still about layering in Seattle. Layering Spring fashion in Seattle is an art form that balances style with practicality due to the city's ever-changing weather. Picture this: starting with a lightweight, breathable base such as a cotton tee or a flowy blouse. Over that, add a versatile denim jacket or a cozy cardigan for those cooler mornings or evenings. As the day warms up, you can tie the outer layer around your waist for a casual, effortless look. For bottoms, opt for cropped jeans or a skirt paired with comfortable sneakers or stylish ankle boots, perfect for navigating Seattle's urban terrain. Don't forget to accessorize with a statement scarf or a wide-brimmed hat to add personality to your ensemble while also providing protection from the occasional drizzle. With layers that can easily be adjusted throughout the day, you'll be prepared for whatever the Seattle Spring weather throws your way while still looking effortlessly chic. This describes many things that Meadow Boutique has to offer right now - come in and see for yourself! Let the layering begin! xoxoxox

Earth To Meadow Boutique

April 19, 2024 Shelley Hall

Earth Day is April 22. When we think about the Earth, we think about trees and skies and flowers and grass and meadows. We think about all the things the Earth provides us to live and breathe and live our lives. Perhaps on this day we can think of ways to honor the Earth. We talk about this every year here on the Meadow Boutique blog. By taking action to honor Earth Day, we can make a positive impact on the planet and contribute to building a more sustainable and resilient future for generations to come.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle: Seattle practices the 3Rs by reducing waste, reusing items, and recycling materials whenever possible. We know as residents in Seattle we find ways to single-use plastics, choose products with minimal packaging, and recycle paper, glass, plastic, metal and clothing. It’s important to live in a state that values these practices. Be attentive of this on Earth Day especially! My favorite thing has always been to plant a tree or flowers on Earth Day so that every year I can watch how my contribution has added to the Earth’s beauty. Spring cleaning of our wardrobe is another way to reduce & recycle. What are you planning to do for Earth Day this year?

We think you should step into Meadow and immerse yourself in the vibrant tapestry of Earth's hues! Picture yourself amidst the breathtaking panorama of our planet as you explore the kaleidoscope of colors we have to offer this week. From dresses adorned with interesting patterns and floral tops to light sweaters in shades of pink and white that evoke the essence of Spring, our collection is a celebration of Earth's natural beauty.

You will feel the excitement as you discover the perfect pair of white pants to kickstart your seasonal wardrobe, mirroring the purity of freshly fallen snow. And why not add a touch of verdant green denim, reminiscent of the lush foliage just outside your window? Or a new pair of denim to replace the old ones? Meadow has everything you need to feel that earthy feeling all over!

Wrap yourself in our cozy scarves for those unexpected chilly moments, their warmth a reminder of Earth's nurturing embrace. Dive into a world of imagination with our Dreamers in new Spring hues like cheerful yellow and soft pink, perfect for those who collect every shade in the spectrum. For the devoted Dreamer enthusiasts among us, seize the opportunity to expand your collection with our latest colors. Embrace the spirit of renewal and rejuvenation as you embrace the colors of the season. Earth, with all its splendor, awaits you at Meadow. It makes us feel calm and cool all over!

So it’s time to tell you what’s new this week at Meadow Boutique!

Like we said…..so many lovely spring colors to honor Earth Day! With brands like ALLTHREADS, MINE, JBD Denim, DREAMERS, RISEN, K. CARROLL, JEN & CO., how could you go wrong? For accessories we have CLOVER + COAST and OLIVIA KERI earrings to put the finishing touches on your new outfit! We even have floral headbands that can brighten up any Earth day fashion you decide to put together. CLOVER + COAST specializes in trendy handmade fiber statement earrings, made from locally sourced materials. They are made in a variety of colors, styles, and materials such as tasseled suede, feather macrame, or frayed fibers. OLIVIA KERI use leather, cork and metal in our designs and combine these materials to create our unique and trendy pieces. So you see, Shelley tries her best to buy merchandise that is unique and using materials that are better for the environment.

Our final thoughts: Earth Day and fashion intertwine in a beautiful dance of sustainability and creativity. Let Earth Day inspire you to make mindful fashion choices at Meadow that not only express your style, but also honor the planet we call home with an array of colors. Let fashion become a canvas through which you express your love for the planet and your dedication to a more sustainable future. Stop by Meadow and let us find some Earthly treasures for you this week! It would be our pleasure! And as always, thank you for supporting us at our little boutique in Queen Anne! xoxoxox

April Brings Renewal

April 12, 2024 Shelley Hall

First and foremost, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Melissa for her outstanding stewardship of the blog from December 2023 until just last week. As she embarks on a new chapter alongside her husband and beloved canine companion in Portland, Oregon, we send her every bit of luck and affection.

Now, you may be wondering who will be stepping into Melissa's shoes. Well, that's a mystery best left to unravel. Let's keep the intrigue alive for a bit, shall we? Rest assured, though, we're committed to keeping you well-informed and engaged with all the happenings at Meadow Boutique. Our dedication to offering exquisite merchandise and unparalleled customer service remains steadfast—it's a promise we hold dear and will never compromise.

April heralds the season of renewal, teasing us with the promise of warmer days and fresh beginnings. Restless for the shifting winds and the sun's gentle caress, we shed the heaviness of winter coats and yearn for the lightness of Spring attire. Seattle seems to sigh with relief as buds unfurl into delicate blossoms, painting the landscape with hues of pink, white, and green. The air hums with the melody of birdsong, echoing the joyous chorus of new life awakening. Indeed, the arrival of Spring whispers tales of rejuvenation and revival, reminding us of the eternal cycle of growth and transformation.

April is often a time when people engage in spring cleaning activities, clearing out clutter and freshening up their homes after the long winter months. This tradition of cleaning and organizing can be seen as a symbolic renewal, both physically and mentally. It always makes me feel better to get rid of things I am not wearing and donate them. Shopping is a great way to feel better mentally. We all know the saying “Retail Therapy!” I don’t know about you, but when Meadow Boutique starts showing off the Spring colors in the window, I can’t help but make my way in. The grey days in Seattle become a distant memory when I have the opportunity to add color to my wardrobe from Meadow!

On April 8th we had the Solar Eclipse that rocked our world for renewal for sure. For those that were lucky enough to attend this amazing event, they remember that embracing the energy of eclipses is ultimately about tapping into your inner wisdom and aligning with your highest potential. By cultivating a mindset of openness, intentionality, and self-awareness, you can harness the transformative power of eclipses to create positive change in your life.

So what is new at Meadow Boutique this week? Let us help you create positive change in your life with refreshing and renewing your wardrobe!

There’s ZOE & CLAIRE, MINE, BLU PEPPER, JBD JEANS, ETHEREAL, ORAIJE, and all can be mixed and matched with many other pieces you have at home. We know what you have, we have seen you in Meadow. You might as well pick up some ORAIJE shorts now because you are going to want them, you always do. It pays to get them ahead of time because they really do go fast when the Spring and Summer come. The button ups can be thrown over dresses too and the blue on blue with the dress would look fab! A sorbet pullover, oh my. Makes me think of Spring and all kinds of ice cream, am I right? If you are in the market for some jeans, KANCAN always gets it right and so does JEN & CO for the most durable and functional bags. These are 2 brands we can always count on for great quality and wearability! So what are you waiting for? I can tell you we are waiting for you to stop by and get all that you need to renew that wardrobe!

Isn't it just absolutely delightful to bask in the brilliance of these vibrant hues down below? They're practically begging for us to bid adieu to the drab and usher in a wave of freshness! And guess what? At Meadow Boutique, we've turned the daunting task of revamping your wardrobe into a joyous adventure! Swing by and let us sprinkle some magic on your style journey. Say hello, and together, we'll uncover those ideal pieces that'll add a pop of color to your life, because let's be honest, who needs another shade of grey or black? Let's inject some pizzazz into your wardrobe! You know how much we value your support so we hope to see you soon friends! xoxoxo

Joyful and Delightful

April 4, 2024 Shelley Hall

Hello everyone!

I hope you all had a wonderful week and are carving out some time in your busy schedule to spend time with friends, family and loved ones during this beautiful time of year. As I mentioned last week, this is one of the best times of year to be in Seattle and also one of the best times to come into Meadow to put a bit of spring in your step. We absolutely love and enjoy having you at the shop, even if you just come in to say hello.

We find the most joy and delight when we find you that perfect piece, accessory, gift, or entire outfit. I know that with all of us being so busy this spring, it can be hard to find joy and delight on a daily basis, yet alone each week. However, find the time during this special time of year to appreciate the things you have in your life; whether it's your relationships, your health, or simply the beauty of nature around us and it will fill you with joy. I find that when I don’t take life too seriously, laugh and enjoy the lighter side of life I’m a more joyful person. I try to watch funny movies or even standup comedy often and spend time with friends who make me laugh.

Remember that joy is a state of mind that can be cultivated through intentional practices and mindset shifts. It's not about waiting for the perfect circumstances to feel happy, but rather finding joy in the present moment, despite life's ups and downs.

I also find personal joy when I make friends and family a handmade and written card. It’s funny how living in an age of instant gratification how a card in the mail can bring such joy and delight to someones day. I also find joy in all the many delightful things that come along with spring. Spring brings a refreshing change to women's fashion, with lighter fabrics, playful patterns, and vibrant colors taking center stage.

Not only is fashion blooming in vibrant array of colors, but so are all the tulips. Tulips bloom add such beauty to gardens, parks, and landscapes around the PNW. If you head down to Pike Place Market, you’ll see many tulips in the rooftop planters or at many of the vendors. Places like the Washington Park Arboretum, Volunteer Park, and the Bellevue Botanical Garden often have tulips planted in their flower beds. Even if you just take a walk around any Seattle neighborhood, I’m clearly partial to Queen Anne, you are bound to be delighted by all the tulips blooming this time of year.

Keep an eye out for local events and attractions that celebrate tulips, and consider taking a day trip to the Skagit Valley to experience the stunning tulip fields firsthand.

I personally love taking a drive up to Skagit Valley this time of year. My husband and I love to take our motorcycle up to Skagit Valley and take “the Insta photo”. If you time it just right and the weather is cooperative you will be able to witness fields of daffodils and tulips. There are several tulip gardens and tulip fields you can view throughout Skagit Valley. The crops of RoozenGaarde are planted to yield both tulip bulbs and fresh-cut flowers. Before you go out to enjoy the beautiful flowers, come into Meadow as we will have the perfect outfit for enjoying the delightful flowers.

Shelley thank you again for taking the pictures this week as I begin my transition to moving to the Portland Area. I have enjoyed this journey with so many of you and I am delighted by all the love and support I’ve received at Meadow and within the community over the past couple of years.

Whether it's finding the prefect dress or a fabulous pair of earrings, we are truly passionate about making you feel great about yourself and making your day better.

April Fools

March 28, 2024 Shelley Hall

Hello everyone!

I hope many of you are enjoying or about to be enjoying your Spring Break holiday! This is the perfect time to come into Meadow to start transitioning your wardrobe for the spring season. I feel this is the best time to experiment with mixing floral patterns of varying sizes and colors to create interesting and unique outfits. You can even pair them together for a bold and eclectic style. Floral prints are versatile and can be found on a variety of clothing items, including dresses, tops, skirts, jeans, and even outerwear. Choose the type of garment that best fits your personal style and comfort level. Ultimately, the most important thing when wearing floral clothing is to wear it with confidence. Embrace the boldness of the print and rock your floral pieces with pride.

Take time to relax and unwind during your Spring Break in the midst of the busyness of spring. Practice mindfulness, meditation, or yoga outdoors to connect with nature and rejuvenate your mind and body. Look for outdoor events and festivals happening in your community, such as art fairs, music concerts, or cultural celebrations. Enjoy the festive atmosphere and soak up the local culture. I’ll continue to say how much I love this time of year and that we live in a amazing city! Explore Seattle's lush parks and gardens, such as Discovery Park, Gas Works Park, and the Seattle Japanese Garden. Enjoy leisurely walks, picnics, and outdoor activities amidst the springtime greenery. We certainly enjoy taking our pup out this time of year as it’s a good excuse for us to simple stroll around the neighborhood and enjoy all the efforts that so many homeowners put into their landscapes. Enjoy a scenic ferry ride across Puget Sound to Bainbridge Island or the San Juan Islands. Being in LQA, you can take a short ferry over to Bainbridge Island to have lunch and be back in Seattle in no time. On the way back from Bainbridge you’ll be able to admire stunning views of the Seattle skyline and surrounding mountains from the water. Remember to dress appropriately for the weather, wear sunscreen, and stay hydrated while enjoying outdoor activities in the springtime. Most importantly, savor the beauty and joy that this season brings.

A fun thing to do this spring is a "Spring Fling.” It’s a fun and lively event typically held in celebration of the arrival of the new season. It's a great opportunity to enjoy the warmer weather, spend time outdoors, and engage in various activities with friends, family, or neighbors. Plan outdoor games and activities that reflect the spirit of spring, such as egg races, sack races, frisbee, badminton, or a scavenger hunt. Another way to celebrate springs arrival is to organize a picnic in a local park or garden. Fill a basket or a bag with delicious foods and drinks, leave your phone in the car and throw out a blanket on the grass and enjoy a leisurely afternoon outdoors. Getting outdoors to celebrate the season is a great way for us all to get together with friends, family, neighbors and loved ones. Spring is in the air! Get out and enjoy!

Something many of us find enjoyable this time of year is celebrating April Fools’ Day. Share jokes, puns, or riddles with friends and family to lighten the mood and bring some laughter to the day. Laugh a little harder when your father tells a joke, because we all know someone who loves telling a “dad joke.” You can give gag gifts or prank gifts to friends or family members, but make sure they have a good sense of humor and won't be offended. April Fools’ can be a lot of fun, but it's important to keep it light-hearted and harmless.

Shelley thank you for taking the pictures this week!!!

Whether it's finding the prefect dress or a fabulous pair of earrings, we are truly passionate about making you feel great about yourself and making your day better.

Spring has sprung

March 21, 2024 Shelley Hall

Hello everyone!

What a crazy weather week we’ve had here in the Seattle area. Choosing between winter and spring fashion can be tricky this time of year. Winter fashion often features darker hues like black, navy, and deep reds, which provide a cozy and sophisticated look. Spring fashion incorporates lightweight fabrics like cotton and linen, providing breathability and comfort as temperatures rise. Spring fashion often features vibrant and pastel colors like coral, lavender, and sky blue, reflecting the season's cheerful and optimistic vibe. Spring fashion allows for creative layering with lightweight jackets, cardigans, and scarves, are perfect for transitioning between cooler mornings and warmer afternoons. Ultimately, the choice between winter and spring fashion depends on personal style preferences, climate, and the specific occasions you're dressing for. Both seasons offer unique opportunities for expressing yourself through fashion and staying stylish while adapting to changing weather conditions.

Get ready for your spring break at Meadow!! Tailor your spring break wardrobe to your destination and planned activities, whether it's a tropical beach getaway, a city adventure, or a relaxing retreat in the countryside. Most importantly, have fun experimenting with different styles and expressing your personal fashion sense during your spring break escapades! Opt for packable and wrinkle-resistant clothing items to make packing and traveling easier. Look for pieces that can be rolled up or folded without creasing, allowing you to maximize suitcase space and minimize the need for ironing. Elevate your spring break outfits with statement accessories like oversized sunglasses, floppy hats, colorful scarves, or statement jewelry. These accessories can add personality and flair to even the simplest of outfits. While the days may be warm, spring evenings can still be cool. Pack lightweight layering pieces like cardigans, denim jackets, or lightweight scarves to stay comfortable when temperatures drop.

Spring into Meadow and grab a flowing dress, light spring scarf or t-shirt to brighten you wardrobe for the changing season!

Remember that celebrating spring is all about embracing the sense of renewal, growth, and joy that comes with the season. Whether you're spending time outdoors, trying new activities, or simply enjoying the beauty of nature, find ways to savor the magic of springtime. Take advantage of the longer days and warmer temperatures by engaging in outdoor recreation activities like hiking, biking, picnicking, or even a night on the town. It’s the best time of year to go over to the University of Washington campus and stroll through the beatiful cherry trees blossoming in the quad. Being active outdoors is a great way to celebrate the season and boost your mood.

Channel the spirit of renewal by decluttering and organizing your living space. Spring cleaning not only freshens up your home but also creates a sense of rejuvenation and clarity. Donate items you no longer need, tidy up outdoor spaces, and welcome in the season with a clean slate. Celebrating spring can be a delightful experience, embracing the renewal of nature and the arrival of warmer weather.

Whether it's finding the prefect dress or a fabulous pair of earrings, we are truly passionate about making you feel great about yourself and making your day better.

Celebrating Women

March 14, 2024 Shelley Hall

Hello everyone!

I hope you are all adjusting well after the time change caused by daylight savings time and are ready to leap into Spring. Embrace this change by leaping into outfits that you feel confident in for this upcoming Spring season. Spring fashion can be a way for women to express themselves, assert their identity, and celebrate their individuality, thus aligning with the spirit of empowerment highlighted during Women's History Month.

Women's History Month celebrates the achievements and contributions of women throughout history.

In the realm of fashion, women have played significant roles as designers, models, and influencers and entrepreneurs. Show your support for women entrepreneurs by shopping at Meadow and other women-owned businesses in your area. This can help empower women economically and promote gender equality in the business world. Come into Meadow and show Shelley your support this month and let’s support women-owned businesses!

By actively supporting women's clothing stores, you can help empower women entrepreneurs, promote diversity and inclusion in the fashion industry, and contribute to positive social change. Continue to show your support for Meadow. Share your positive experiences you’ve had at women's clothing stores with your friends, family, and social media followers. Word-of-mouth recommendations can help raise awareness about women-owned businesses and attract more customers to support them. We certainly appreciate it when you come into the shop to show your support and explore all the pieces that have come in at the beginning of the spring season.

Spring fashion often incorporates elements that celebrate femininity, self-expression, and individuality. From floral patterns to pastel colors, spring fashion allows women to embrace their femininity and express themselves creatively, echoing the themes of self-expression and celebration central to Women's History Month.

However you choose to celebrate Woman’s History Month and the arrival of warmer weather, make sure to savor the moment in great fashion and embrace the beauty of springtime. Spring Forward

March 7, 2024 Shelley Hall

Hello everyone!

I sure hope you all are taking advantage of the most pleasant time of the year in Seattle. With the less crowds in town right now and the daily glimpse of spring it’s the best time to explore all that Seattle and the PNW have to offer. I couldn’t be more excited to see you all and to hear about your adventures you’ve had or are planning to have. I imagine many of you are already planning your trips for the spring break holiday coming up. Come into Meadow before your trip as we’ve got some new spring pieces that have arrived.

I have began to notice that the days have been getting longer and I’m excited that we are going to have more sunlight into the evenings as we “spring forward.” The "spring forward" aspect of daylight saving time serves as a reminder of the changing seasons and the anticipation of warmer weather and increased daylight hours. I won’t lie, I have enjoyed the morning daylight when taking my pup for a walk, but I’ll continue to remind myself that spring is coming after daylight savings.

Remember, while daylight savings time offers more daylight in the evenings, it may take some time for your body to adjust to the time change. Be patient with yourself and give yourself time to adapt to the new schedule. Take time to appreciate the beauty of the sunset during the longer evenings. Consider watching the sunset from a scenic spot or simply from your backyard or apartment window. As you begin to adapt to daylight extending into the evening hours, start to take advantage of outdoor activities like taking a walk, hiking, biking, or even gather with friends at the many restaurants with outdoor seating. We have some great new pieces at Meadow that will make your outing fabulous. I’m excited about the new spring dresses we have in!

By embracing the spring fashion, you can "spring forward" with style and confidence, ready to embrace the new season in all its glory. Why not gradually add more color to your wardrobe and create stylish and eye-catching outfits that reflect your personal style? The key to pulling off colorful outfits is confidence. Don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and embrace bold, vibrant colors. Explore different shades and hues of your favorite colors. For example, if you love blue, try incorporating various shades like navy, royal blue, sky blue, or teal into your wardrobe. Look for colorful tops, bottoms, or outerwear pieces that you can mix and match with other items in your closet.

Dressing up just for yourself can be a great way to boost your mood and self-confidence, even if you don't have any special plans for the day. Remember, there's no right or wrong way to dress up for yourself—it's all about expressing your personality and feeling good in your own skin or outfit. So go ahead and indulge in a little self-care by dressing up and embracing your unique style! Ultimately, the most important thing is to wear clothes that make you happy and comfortable. Whether it's a favorite dress, a pair of jeans that fit just right, or a cozy sweater, choose items that you genuinely enjoy wearing that make you feel good about yourself. If you don’t have anything in your closet come into Meadow and let’s find something for you.

We love to see you come in to say hello and check in on the progress of our old space. While we wish things were moving faster and would love to be back in the space, it’s certainly going to be a bit before that happens. We are so very thankful for everyone’s continued support and are so grateful for Wink Hair Studio! Please keep showing your support to all of the Queen Anne and Seattle small businesses, especially those that are female owned.

Whether it's finding the prefect dress or a fabulous pair of earrings, we are truly passionate about making you feel great about yourself and making your day better.

Seattle In March

February 29, 2024 Shelley Hall

Hello everyone!

I hope you all took advantage of the rare and special occurrence of leap day and made the most of it. It felt like so many of you did! It was so nice to see you get out in the colder, blustery, wet and soggy week we’ve had and look into springing up your wardrobe or just exploring the wonderful city that we live in. I know it’s hard to be motivated to go outside for an adventure during these wet and soggy days, but I find that many of us love throwing on our jackets this time of year to embrace all kinds of weather.

The month of March is an ideal time to live here in the PNW, as it is a time when the winter cold bids farewell to welcome the moderate warmth of spring. Although it certainly doesn’t feel like it this week, the warmth will be here before we know it. One of the things that many of us take for granted during March is the lack of crowds during this time of year. It’s really one of the best times to get out and enjoy the city before the summer tourists, cruise ships and crowds pour in. Consider taking advantage of this special time and visit us at Meadow for all the spring fashion that’s coming in without having to deal with hoards of tourists.

I believe that March marks the beginning of what us locals define as one of the most pleasant times of the year. Spring is an exciting opportunity to refresh your wardrobe and embrace the vibrant energy of the season. It’s the season for lighter fabrics, bright colors, floral prints, lightweight layers, denim, statement accessories and even open toed shoes. It’s the time to start layering which is key for transitioning your wardrobe from winter to spring. Pair lightweight sweaters or cardigans with flowy tops and dresses for a stylish and practical layered look that can easily be adjusted as temperatures fluctuate. Consider outfits for any outdoor adventure.

One of the places my husband and I like to go this time of year is the Arboretum. If you haven’t been, it is a park that belongs to the botanical gardens complex of the University of Washington and is an excellent spot in the city to enjoy an afternoon of nature. Even if you are still having to wear your winter jacket, just remember that the warmer days are coming.

While we were out this last weekend we noticed all of the trees soft furry buds beginning to open, some cherry trees beginning to bloom and even some yellow daffodil flowers. Even while walking our puppy in the rain in the early mornings you could here the birds chirping and sounding so happy. It certainly is beginning to feel like the most pleasant time of year outside and even at the shop. No matter the weather it’s alway a perfect day to go shopping.

Experiment with accessories! Accessorizing can add an extra element of fun to your outfit. Try on different accessories such as scarves, hats, and jewelry to see how they can transform your outfits and express your personal style.

Grab a Friend! Go shopping with a friend or family member. It can make the experience more enjoyable and fun. You can offer each other advice, opinions, and support throughout the joy of shopping. I have been having a blast being a “friend” if you came alone! It’s fun to chat with you all and give advice or offer other options.

Whether it's finding the prefect dress or a fabulous pair of earrings, we are truly passionate about making you feel great about yourself and making your day better.

Leap into Style

February 22, 2024 Shelley Hall

Hello everyone!

It’s a leap year and the 29th is our extra day! The extra day that occurs in a leap year offers a unique opportunity to do something special or out of the ordinary. What are you going to do with your extra day? Consider challenging yourself to try something new and outside of your comfort zone. Why not try on a new color or style to leap into spring that’s nearly upon us.

Besides enjoying an extra day of shopping at Meadow, you could set goals or resolutions specifically for leap year. These can be short-term goals or projects that you want to accomplish by the end of the year. Use the extra day as motivation to make significant leaps toward achieving your aspirations.

Speaking of goals and aspirations, how is your New Year’s resolutions going? I know that keeping your New Year's resolutions can be challenging, but with the right approach and mindset, you can increase your chances of success. Consistency is key to achieving any goal. Commit to taking small, consistent actions every day or week towards your resolution. Even on days when you don't feel motivated, focus on taking small steps forward. Be kind to yourself throughout the process.

Ultimately, how you choose to spend leap day is entirely up to you. Whether you use it as an opportunity for adventure, reflection, or relaxation, make the most of this extra day and embrace the possibilities it brings. Remember, the most important aspect of celebrating leap year is to have fun and embrace the novelty of this rare occurrence. Enjoy the extra day and make the most of it!

I don’t know about you, but I’m ready to leap into Spring. Dressing for the transition from winter into spring requires a balance between warmth and adaptability as temperatures gradually rise. Incorporate lighter colors and playful patterns into your wardrobe to reflect the vibrant energy of spring. Mix and match neutral tones with pastel hues for a refreshing look.

Grab some transitional pieces that you can wear from winter through spring to stay stylish and comfortable, such as cardigans and lightweight sweaters. To go from a winter to spring wardrobe, you don’t have to totally revamp your closet. It’s great to add some new pieces, but transitioning doesn’t have to be hard. Set aside those winter clothing pieces and lets welcome in some lightweight layers to embrace the new season whenever it arrives. We have some cute maxi skirt’s in that will pair great with your winter sweaters.

Whether it's finding the prefect dress or a fabulous pair of earrings, we are truly passionate about making you feel great about yourself and making your day better.

Mood Booster

February 15, 2024 Shelley Hall

Hello everyone!

Take time this coming week to enjoy the mid-winter break with your kids. Plan special outings or day trips to nearby attractions such as museums, zoos, aquariums, or indoor play centers. Many places offer winter-themed events and activities during the winter season. At Meadow we have some great new pieces, like knit sweaters, that will be easy to throw on for your journey.

By incorporating a mix of outdoor adventures, indoor crafts, holiday traditions, and quality family time, you can make this mid-winter break a memorable and enjoyable experience for everyone.

Being outdoors and connecting with nature has been shown to reduce stress and improve mood. Take a walk in a park or simply sit outside and enjoy the fresh air. Take a leisurely stroll in a garden, go for a hike, or have a picnic in the park to connect with nature and unwind. My husband and I love going to Parson’s Garden for a quick stroll or picnic (if the sun is out). Saturday’s are the one day of the week we get to spend together and we often take our pup around Queen Anne just to relish in the beautiful area that we call home. It’s a simple way to spend time outside “in nature”.

I love retail therapy to boost my mood! Shopping for something nice, whether it's a new outfit, a book, or a piece of jewelry, can provide a temporary mood boost. We have some very cute overalls or other options for your outdoor adventures. Find activities that resonate with you and make them a regular part of your routine to maintain a positive mindset and emotional balance.

As spring approaches, fashion trends often evolve to reflect the changing season.

I’m excited, as I’m sure many of you are, for longer days which means spring fashion is near. As the weather slowly begins to warm, Meadow is beginning it’s transition into lightweight fabrics. The longer daylight offer more opportunities for outdoor activities, socializing, and productivity and can indeed lift our spirits. The longer days mean more time for socializing with friends and family and being able to go outside and enjoy some adventures. Consider taking some time this mid-winter break to start planning some outdoor gatherings, BBQs, picnics, or simply spend time relaxing and chatting outside on your patio or balcony with friends and family. Start thinking about all the fun, new pieces you can wear and accessorize your outfits. Meadows accessories can add personality and flair to even the simplest of outfits.

Whether it's finding the prefect dress or a fabulous pair of earrings, we are truly passionate about making you feel great about yourself and making your day better.

Language of love

February 8, 2024 Shelley Hall

Hello everyone!

This Groundhog Day Punxsutawney Phil didn’t see his shadow and predicted an early spring. That doesn’t mean it’s quite time to bid farewell to the chilly winter temperatures and welcome the warmth of spring just yet, but my fingers are crossed that the layers can come off sooner rather than later. I’m very excited that we are getting more and more spring pieces in at Meadow!

Take the opportunity to appreciate the changing seasons and begin thinking of refreshing your wardrobe.

As Valentine’s Day approaches, reach out to friends or family members who uplift and support you. Surround yourself with positive relationships and connect with loved ones who appreciate and value you for who you are.

Take time to appreciate yourself. Giving a gift to yourself is an important act of self-care and self-appreciation. It's a way to acknowledge your worth, celebrate your achievements, and nurture your well-being. Treat Yourself! Indulge in a small treat or indulgence that brings you happiness, whether it's a dress, sweater, a bouquet of flowers, or a cozy night in watching your favorite movie.

While looking for a Valentine gift for yourself or your loved one at Meadow select a soft and comfortable sweater or cardigan that you can wear during the remaining colder months. Look for unique and stylish details like cable knit patterns, oversized silhouettes, or cozy fabrics. Chic tops and blouses are great to consider that can pair with jeans, skirts, or dress pants.

It's not about the price tag but about the sentiment behind the gift and the love you share.

We have so many pink’s and rose colors in at Meadow. Pair these new spring colored pieces with any of our jeans and your Valentine’s Day outfit will be complete. Our earrings are a perfect gift for your loved one or yourself. The most important aspect of gift giving on Valentine's Day is the thought and effort you put into selecting something that reflects your appreciation and love for your partner. If you are unsure what your love would like we have gift cards!

Whether it's finding the prefect dress or a fabulous pair of earrings, we are truly passionate about making you feel great about yourself and making your day better.

Casual, Confident, Comfortable

January 25, 2024 Shelley Hall

Hello everyone!

It’s certainly warmer and wetter out now and I feel like spring is close and longer days are ahead of us. I’m looking forward to more outdoor activities where I can layer my wardrobe for whatever adventure awaits. I have been enjoying our beautiful sunrises and sunsets even in this cold weather. It is fun to get outside and make new memories even in these darker winter months.

Maintaining your look throughout the winter might be difficult at times. Let us help you by adding some flair to your winter wardrobe. Choose an elegant, long coat in a rich color or sweater in either a deep green or a soft pink, and don’t forget about the color of the year “Peach Fuzz”. Finding the correct balance between choosing casual winter outfits and keeping your toes nice and warm can be challenging. However we have you covered in all areas.

Choose warm tones for a classic winter look. Remember, the key is to find pieces that make you feel confident and comfortable.

Keeping your wardrobe simple and versatile allows for easy mixing and matching, making everyday fashion a breeze. When in doubt, keep it simple. Plaid is timeless and adds a pop of pattern to your ensemble. Cardigans are a simple layer that help keep you warm and always pair well with jeans. Try a sweater dress where you can rock leggings and boots to stay dry and warm. You can also dress it up with heels or go more casual with sneakers.

Whether it's finding the prefect dress or a fabulous pair of earrings, we are truly passionate about making you feel great about yourself and making your day better.
