December is here. The air is getting cooler. Lights are popping up throughout many neighborhoods. Consumers are shopping early so they can find that perfect gift before it has vanished off the shelves. Tis the season! If we can find Joy, Peace and Love in our everyday lives, then we will be ready for this holiday season with greater ease. No matter what or how you celebrate, how can we bring these 3 words into our hearts and lives?

JOY…… Joy is state of exuberance. It is energizing, happy and motivating. When we radiate joy, our biology is in its optimal state. Others are drawn to us. Joy directs us to the purpose of our lives and lubricates the flow state.

How to increase JOY

Build upon your feeling of peace and love
Let a smile crinkle in the outer corners of your eyes
Allow every cell and organ in your body to smile
Focus all your attention on the most awesome reality
Know that this moment is absolutely perfect
Radiate a pulse of appreciation and gladness into the world
Show your happiness to those around you
Savor the feeling of joy, bliss and contentment

PEACE…… Peace is a state of calm and an experience of safety. The vagus nerve is active. We feel secure. Peace is the foundation of wellbeing. Whilst leadership – parents, business, or state – has a role in creating safe environments, discovering peace is an individual responsibility.

How to increase PEACE

Exhale and relax your face and body
Slow your breathing and feel your heart rate slow
Relax your eyes and take a wide view of nature
Radiate a feeling of calm, peace, safety, and steadiness
Accept that everything is perfect exactly as it is
Know your vagus nerve is active and heart is coherent
Bring your attention into the beauty of the present moment
Savor the feeling of peacefulness

LOVE…… Love is a state of positive connection. We seek to be a force for good. Love is the foundation of collaboration and group success. Love is energizing, focusing, and meaningful. In love we can trust, play, and succeed together.

Build upon your practice of generating peace
Lengthen your spine, open shoulders and hands
Build respect, gentleness and kindness toward yourself
Appreciate everything in your awareness right now
Radiate a feeling of love towards all you know
Expand an open heart to all life, nature and the cosmos
Intend peace, joy and love to all beings
Savor the feeling of loving kindness

Every one of us wants more peace, more love, and more joy. Evolution designed us to seek these three markers of a good life. We do everything we can to move towards them. Increasing our experience of peace, love, and joy is the purpose of every religion, philosophy, and science. You want it. I want it. With Love, we share all that is new this week at Meadow Boutique. When I say this week, I say it loosely because things seem to come in all the time, so some pieces don’t get on the blog. It’s like a welcome surprise each time you come into Meadow Boutique to see something new and fashionable!

VINE & LOVE has my vote this week with beautiful lace tops in winter white and black. So soft and flattering, so perfect to dress up or down for the holidays and beyond. Also there is a chunky teal turtleneck with lots of character.

NEW IN has 2 lovely sweaters in that festive red and off white, with lovely full sleeves and oh so soft…..A cozy way to ring in this holiday season. There is also a textured sweater with dots.

JODIFL brings us 2 colors of a quilted short jacket. It comes in a dark grey and rust color. The fit is really nice and a great layering jacket!

HYFVE has that color we are seeing this year in winter fashion - purple but a much lighter color like lavender. Its a very flattering wrap sweater with nice detailing. Take a chance, try something new instead of the typical muted colors that we all seem to wear in Seattle.

GILLI has another festive dress in a holiday plaid that you may want to consider. It would look amazing with some tights and high boots to finish the look.
