We are ready for Summer. The blue skies with the evergreen trees high above, make my heart sing! Such a beautiful backdrop for our eyes to behold. I was reminiscing with my son-in-law the other day about the show “Here Come the Brides.” Yes, I know this will date me because this show aired in the late 60’s early 70’s (I was 12). The theme song was about Seattle and I still remember the words; the verse went something like this:

The bluest skies you've ever seen in Seattle
And the hills the greenest green in Seattle
Like a beautiful child growing up free and wild
Full of hopes and full of fears
Full of laughter full of tears
Full of dreams to last the years in Seattle

Bobby Sherman was one of the stars of the show. He and his brothers were hired to bring 100 brides back to Seattle. In the series it always showed Seattle being sunny. At that time, I was living in the Midwest and thought it would be really cool to move to Seattle. Little did I know, I would be moving there when I was 14 and would spend most of my life here. To my dismay, it rained all the time. But when Summer came, it was so incredibly beautiful, you somehow forgot all about the rain. No regrets at all, except when we have a Spring like we just had. Seattle is a beautiful place, thus all the people that have settled here is certainly not by accident!

At Meadow Boutique, we are thinking SUMMER! Fun, Sun and dresses to gracing our racks. They just keep coming in and are waiting for you to stop by and grab one for the sunny days that are on the way.
