Here we are at the end of April, and sunny days are starting to shine our way. Congratulations, Seattle! We made it through one of the coldest Aprils in recent memory. We are heading right into May this week. YAY! I don’t know about you, but I am pretty happy because I have just returned from Mexico where the temps were in the high 70’s. There’s quite a different feeling when people are out in the sun, they seem happier, they are smiling and even friendlier. That dose of Vitamin D certainly does our body good. I think I even heard whistling the other evening when I left work and was locking up. It was sunny out and it was still light at 5pm. I looked around and it made me smile. It isn’t getting dark now til around 8:15 pm. Oh the joys of the changing of the seasons here in Seattle.

What’s new at Meadow Boutique this week?
DREAMERS in with some shorter light sweaters in some really sweet colors. GILLI always brings in great versatile pieces, easy to wear, easy to pack and this week it’s no different. C’EST TOI has some denim look tops and jackets that are perfect for the season. HYFVE with a spicy jumpsuit and DOUBLE ZERO with some casual tank dresses and dressy pants that will surely spark your interest. Our sunglasses are in at a great price of $12. It’s all here below for you to check out. Everything is in stock now, but don’t wait too long to grab what you want. When it’s gone, it’s gone. There are not many things that get reordered. Besides, you wouldn’t want everyone in town wearing what you are, right? There’s a slim chance of that unless you and your friend are buying the same thing! It happens.
Today is beautiful out, so get out there, take your walk, stop by Meadow and see all the new arrivals. Try some pieces on, tell your friends to come by and enjoy your day. Check out the “56 things to do this May in Seattle” and just be grateful for all that the season brings to make us smile and enjoy life. Truly isn’t that what is about?
Yesterday one of our customers and her little dog brought me some flowers from her garden for my Birthday. It reminded me of how the little things that happen to us randomly during the day can become big things in our life. As I type out this blog, those flowers are sitting with me at my desk, and they smell amazing. I am so lucky to have the connections I have made at Meadow and that someone that shops here, cares enough about me to drop by some flowers from her garden. It made my day. It made my week. It makes me happy. It warms my heart and makes me smile. Is there something you can do this week to make someone feel like I do? And to think, it could be just as simple as picking some flowers from your garden and taking them to a friend or a neighbor or even just handing them to someone you pass on the street. Try it, I guarantee it will be make you feel warm from the inside out! There is no better way to start May. xoxoxoxo
