Seattle is known for its rainy reputation, but August will bring some of the sunniest and most pleasant weather of the year. August usually sees plenty of sunshine, with long daylight hours and relatively few rainy days. The weather is typically warm and sunny, with average high temperatures around 75-80°F, making it perfect for outdoor activities. Seattle in August is truly delightful. The long days, with lovely sunsets provide ample time to enjoy our city's beautiful scenery and lively culture. August in Seattle is a vibrant and beautiful time! We all know this and love this about Seattle.
Meadow Boutique still has plenty of Summer wear. The dresses, the tops, the shorts, the hats, the earrings, the sunglasses, are still here for the taking, but BEWARE, slowly Fall fashion will be creeping in and you will be asking us where all the Summer pieces went. We don’t want you to miss getting what you need for the days left of Summer. September is still a warm month here too. Summer is our paradise in Seattle and here’s why you need to dress accordingly:
Natural Beauty: The city is surrounded by stunning natural scenery, including the Puget Sound, Lake Washington, and the Cascade and Olympic mountain ranges. This provides us with ample opportunities for outdoor activities like hiking, skiing, and boating. I know living here I have partaken in all these activities and it has been awesome. The older I get, the more I think bout how grateful I have been to have lived in a place with such amazing activities.
Mild Climate: Seattle's climate is relatively mild compared to many other parts of the United States. Our Winters are generally wet but not too cold, and summers are dry and warm without being excessively hot. This is a very nice feature. We have seen lots of customers come from other parts of the country to get out of the excessive heat in their state. They think Seattle is paradise!
Vibrant Culture: Seattle has a rich cultural scene, with numerous museums, theaters, music venues, and art galleries. We are also known for our strong coffee culture, with many independent cafes as well as being the birthplace of Starbucks. I have been many places in the world, and I can tell you that no matter where you go to a Starbucks, it all tastes like it does in the states. Starbucks is consistent and you can count on them wherever you land in the world. We love our small little coffee shops too. They have so much character and are intimate and usually have great workspaces for those of us who work online.
Innovation Hub: We are a major tech hub, home to companies like Microsoft and Amazon. This has attracted a lot of young professionals coming in and out of town and has fostered a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship. This is something to be proud of for our city.
Eco-Friendly: Seattle is known for its environmental consciousness, with a strong focus on sustainability and green living. Our city has numerous parks and green spaces, and there is a strong emphasis on recycling and reducing carbon footprints. This does not happen everywhere in the USA so we should be pretty proud of ourselves for caring about our earth like we do in Seattle.
Diverse Neighborhoods: Seattle boasts a variety of neighborhoods, each with its own unique character and charm. From the historic Pioneer Square to the trendy Capitol Hill, there is something for everyone. And look at Queen Anne, home of Meadow Boutique! You know we aren’t leaving anytime soon. We are like a mainstay in Queen Anne. everyone seems to know where to find us.
High Quality of Life: Seattle consistently ranks high in quality of life due to its strong economy, good healthcare system, excellent educational institutions, and overall livability. No place is perfect - I mean no place. We have our issues, but there are plenty of us that stand up for the good of our communities with the hope of change!
These factors combined make our home in Seattle an attractive place for us to live, often earning it the label of a modern-day paradise.
