There’s something about back-to-school season that makes September feel like a fresh start—even if the last time you stepped into a classroom was a few decades ago!
Here in Seattle, there’s finally a little hint of Fall in the air. The mornings are cooler, the evenings are coming a bit earlier, and suddenly reaching for a light sweater doesn’t seem completely ridiculous. After all that Summer sunshine, we’re ready for a change.
And so is Meadow Boutique.
This is that wonderful in-between season when we’re not quite ready to say goodbye to Summer, but we’re definitely starting to flirt with Fall. Think easy layers, cozy sweaters, richer colors and those pieces you can wear now—and keep wearing as the temperatures continue to drop.
Consider This Your Fall Homework
No pencils required. No pop quizzes. And absolutely no math.
Your assignment is simply to take a look in your closet and ask: What would make getting dressed this fall a little more fun?
Maybe it’s a great new sweater. A top that works beautifully under a jacket. Something comfortable for running around town. Or maybe it’s simply one fabulous piece that makes you feel good the minute you put it on.
There’s something especially fun about dressing this time of year. One day still feels like Summer, the next has you reaching for a sweater. It’s the season of layers, changing colors and rediscovering the pieces you forgot you loved. This week at Meadow, we’re embracing that little shift—keeping things light enough for now, but adding just enough fall to make us excited for what’s coming.
A Little Fall Is Sneaking In
We’re slowly transitioning the shop from Summer into Fall, so you’ll still find warm-weather favorites mixed in with new colors, textures and slightly cozier pieces. It’s actually one of our favorite times of year to shop because you get a little bit of everything. Oh, how I miss wearing a sweater in Mazatlan!
So while the kids are getting their backpacks ready, sharpening their pencils and heading back to school, we think the grown-ups deserve a little back-to-school shopping of their own. And ours doesn’t come with homework.
