It seems that summer was just a blink away, yet here are waking up to find ourselves facing December. The days are getting shorter and darkness envelops our city a bit sooner than most of us would like. But what about taking after the Danes and celebrating the arrival of winter with hygge?
The concept of hygge - pronounced hoo-gah - is all about embracing the cold and the dark by inviting warmth and light into this season of nesting. Think cozy knits, blankets, fuzzy socks, mugs full of warm liquids, nights spent with loved ones around the fireplace or out and about with girlfriends while wearing something equally cozy and fabulous.
We’ve been preparing for winter at Meadow and are delighted with the items that keep arriving. This week we’ve gotten new faux fur vest, plaid vests and jackets, lots of soft and cozy cardigans, new plaid shirts for all your layering needs and absolutely adorable sweaters that make us think of Christmas. Not to mention some decadent holiday dresses and jumpsuits!
