The magic of the season has definitely been a bit different this year. We have seen many familiar faces in the boutique and lots of new faces as well that have just discovered us. We are very touched by all of you supporting local and we are happy we are on that list. The generosity of this community is so inspiring, we are proud to be in your company! Our hearts are full and the season of giving is in full swing with joy and love, and we are so lucky to be surrounded by it. Many of you have expressed pure happiness for the year to end and others have shared what they have learned through 2020. We can’t begin to tell you the amazing conversations we have had with many of you about all this year has been to you and your families. The ups, the downs and the realizations from within for all of us. But yet through it all, we celebrate the holidays and the good tidings that bring us great joy.
If you need to lift your spirits, the Lights of Christmas presents a Drive-Thru Christmas as a wonderful way to experience the magic of Christmas this year. Billed as "The Largest Christmas Festival in the Pacific Northwest," The Lights of Christmas is about an hour north of Seattle and takes place on select days from Nov. 27-Dec. 30. The drive-through event this year features more than 1 million lights and the chance to wave to Mr. and Mrs. Claus. Admission is $20-$25 per car. So pack up the car and take a drive and enjoy this beautiful light show. It is well worth it and if this doesn’t get you in the mood for the holidays, I don’t know what will! Viewing Christmas lights in my childhood, is still fresh in my mind, those glittering lights, wow, they make me feel so nostalgic. It's still was one of my favorite things to do with my family during Christmas. It’s truly the simple things that we always will remember. What are your traditions for you and your family? Come on in and tell us all about it!
Now let’s get down to gift giving! Meadow Boutique is full of gifts you can give to the loved ones on your list. Or better yet, for yourself - you know, one for them, one for me! “I see nothing wrong with buying gifts for others and then a few for myself.” “My family is terrible at gift giving so I am doing it for them.” “I am just buying a few things for me, wrapping them and putting them under the tree.” These are sentiments we have heard all week. You have created so much fun during this holiday season, so we think no one needs an excuse to buy themselves a gift at Meadow Boutique, no matter how you celebrate!
There are sweatshirts and sweaters and dresses. There are scarves, and hats, and socks on the way. There are so many great pieces to snuggle up in and drink that hot tottie or hot chocolate by the fire. Fashion right now is about comfort and soft fabrics. I have to say ladies, there are some exquisite bralettes for this holiday season too. In velvet and lace and even some with tattooed backs. OO LA LA. These beautiful pieces will light that spark within…….if you know what I mean! There are candles and cards and note pads with lovely patterns, so pleasing to the eye. For those small little girlfriends, cute little colorful gifts like barrettes and unicorn pens along with necklaces and bracelets. So keep on coming in to see us, because as you know, there is new inventory to be had every week, and we don’t want you to miss a thing! Thank you for being part of our Holiday Festivities. We hope to help make your list a little lighter and bring a smile to your face (behind that mask of course) along the way!
“The Joy of brightening other lives, bearing each others’ burdens, easing each other’s loads and supplanting empty hearts and lives with generous gifts becomes for us the magic of the holidays.” – W. C. Jones
