Reservations & Cozy Layers

October 23, 2026 Shelley Hall

There’s something about dinner plans that makes getting dressed a little more fun. Maybe you’re finally trying that neighborhood restaurant, meeting a friend you haven’t seen in weeks, or convincing yourself that yes, Wednesday deserves an evening out. With Seattle Restaurant Week running through October 31, there’s a delicious reason to put something on the calendar.

And you don’t need a whole new wardrobe to make an evening feel special. Sometimes it’s a sweater with a little personality, a great pair of jeans, and a jacket waiting by the door.

This week at Meadow, the cream-and-navy striped cardigan makes an easy starting point. Its contrasting trim gives it a finished look without much fuss—just add denim and your favorite ankle boots or flats. Prefer a finer stripe? The fitted button-front striped top brings another lovely option to the table. Pair it with wide-leg jeans for an outfit that feels relaxed and pulled together.

For a little color, we’re loving the chartreuse sweater. That bright, earthy shade brings some cheer to a gray Seattle afternoon and looks beautiful against blue denim. It’s the kind of piece that does most of the outfit planning for you.

There’s plenty for the comfort-loving crowd, too. Our olive and gray separates offer an easy approach to fall dressing, whether you’re heading out for a casual bite or settling in for a slow weekend. Wear the coordinating pieces together, or mix a cozy top with jeans to give it another outing. With both longer and cropped denim styles among this week’s arrivals, there’s room to find the shape that feels like you.

And for the walk to dinner—or that moment when you step outside and remember it’s late October—the hooded quilted coat is a welcome final layer.

What we love about a neighborhood evening out is how many local businesses can become part of it. A little browsing, a good meal, a chance to catch up. Shopping small and dining local can be a lovely way to spend an afternoon that turns into an evening.

Stop by Meadow Sidewalk Markets this weekend and let’s find something for your next reservation. Whether you’re dressing for date night, catching up with friends, or heading out for an impromptu dinner, we’re happy to help you put together something that feels like you. Bring your favorite jeans into the mix, try a color you wouldn’t usually reach for, or find that one sweater you’ll keep coming back to all season. You choose the restaurant. We’ll help with the cozy layers—and leave the important decisions, like whether to share dessert, up to you. xoxoxoxo
