Seattle may be taking its sweet time changing colors this year, but your closet doesn’t have to.

October is doing that very Seattle thing — giving us just enough mild weather to make us wonder whether fall is really here, while quietly reminding us that rain, cooler mornings and jacket weather are right around the corner.

And frankly? We’re ready.

This is the season when getting dressed gets fun again. Jeans and a great sweater. A soft long-sleeve top that works by itself now and under a jacket later. Stripes in warm Autumn shades. A little leopard because neutrals don’t have to be boring. And yes, even a cardigan covered in dogs — because sometimes Fall fashion should simply make you smile. And all the styles by our favorite brands like, LES AMIS, DREAMERS, LOVE TREE, STACCATO & LOVLOV. Now how can you wrong? It’s simply not in our vocabulary!

Then there are the layers. That chocolate puffer is exactly the kind of piece you’ll be grateful you grabbed before the temperature drops. And the floral pullover? Part cozy, part unexpected, and very much the sort of thing that makes a gray Seattle day considerably less gray.

What I love about this group Shelley has brought into Meadow is that nothing is trying too hard. These are clothes for actual Seattle life — coffee runs, Saturday wandering, lunch with a friend, an art walk, dinner out, or one of those days when you leave the house in sunshine and come home in rain.

The colors feel like Fall before the trees even get there: cream, chocolate, rust, soft sage, denim and warm neutrals. Easy to mix. Easy to layer. Easy to wear. So let the leaves take their time.

Meadow is already dressed for Fall.

As the season changes, we’re reminded again how lucky we are to have all of you along for the ride.
